PEORIA’S “HALL OF FAME CLASSIC” 10/23 NEXT FOR CRA;

GARDNER TAKES “GLENN HOWARD CLASSIC”

The 15th annual Sands Chevrolet “Hall of Fame Classic” at Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, Ariz. October 23-24 is next up for the AMSOIL USCA/CRA Sprint Cars.

Mike Spencer is current series leader, although Damion Gardner captured last Saturday night’s AMSOIL USAC/CRA “Glenn Howard Classic” at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway.

Gardner, of Concord, Calif. wheeled the Mark Alexander Scott Sales Company/J & D Performance Spike to the Perris victory. He took the lead from Austin Williams on lap 19 and led the rest of the way to beat Spencer, Austin Williams, Cody Williams and Brody Roa.

The victory was Gardner’s 64th in the AMSOIL USAC/CRA Series, nearly double any other driver in the 12-year series history.
