JULY 4 SPRINT FIREWORKS AT LINCOLN PARK!!
STANBROUGH WINS TWICE, FOG OVERTAKES SUPERIOR
Fireworks are sure to erupt when the AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car Series resumes action at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Ind. Only natural, since it will be July 4, the celebration of America’s Independence!
Brady Bacon of Broken Arrow, Okla. continues to lead the standings after a third and a fourth in the most recent races in upper middle-America. His lead is 48 points over Dave Darland and 107 over third-ranking Jon Stanbrough.
Stanbrough virtually “swept” the most recent races at Spring Valley, Minn. and Sun Prairie, Wisc. Heavy fog forced cancellation of last Friday night’s race at AMSOIL Speedway in Superior, Wisc. before the cars ever had a chance to take to the track.
Stanbrough paced all 30 circuits of Saturday night’s race at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley in his MP Environmental/Indiana Underground Maxim/Fisher. Darland was second ahead of Bacon, Chase Stockon and Chris Windom.
Stockon, of Elizabethtown, Ind., appeared headed for victory at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie Sunday night until his night ended abruptly in a flip on lap 22. Stanbrough led the rest of the way to beat Bryan Clauson, Windom, Bacon and Darland.
