MOPAR .25 MID-ATLANTIC SERIES ENDS SEPTEMBER 3-4

 


'The 2k11 USAC Mid-Atlantic Series for Mopar .25 Midgets has concluded its first two rounds and the final round is slated for September 3-4 at the Metro Atlanta Club in Gainesville, Ga. Additional excoiting announcements will be forthcoming for the final round.


 


Participants must compete in all three events and finish in the top-three in year-end points to be eligible for year-end prizes and awards.


 


The opening events were March 25-27 in Nashville, Tenn. and April 8-10 in Salisbury, N.C. and drivers from six states lead their respective class point standings.


 


Using the highest Salisbury finish to break ties, the current class leaders are: Harrison Burton of Huntersville, N.C. (Senior Animal and Light World Formula), Richie Streicher of Bluffton, Ohio (Heavy AA), Adam Thomason of Fishers, Ind. (Heavy World Formula), Collin Olson of Minnesota (B), Bryant Dawson of Phoenix, Ariz. (Mod), Ryan Israel of Concord, N.C. (Junior Animal), Mark Miller of Mooresville, N.C. (Heavy 160), Garrett Jones of West Palm Beach, Fla. (Light 160), Jordan Smithson of Mooresville, N.C. (Heavy Honda), Nolan Allison of Greensboro, N.C. (Senior Honda), Zeb Wise of Angola, Ind. (Junior Honda) and the only undefeated driver so far – Frankie Nervo of Stow, Ohio (Light AA).


 


USAC’s next Mopar .25 Midget “Generation Next” event is the “High Desert Classic” in Albuquerque, N.M. April 29-May 1.
