GOAL OF NEW .25 NATIONAL AWARD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIPS

 


In 2011 youngsters from across the country will have an opportunity to compete against each other for National honors without ever leaving the confines of their “home” track.


 


The new concept will involve all USAC Mopar .25 Midget clubs and their members, with drivers only eligible to earn points toward the new USAC .25 “National Award Series” at their “home” tracks.


 


Honda and Briggs classes will be the only eligible classes for the new championships and each club will designate six (6) of their club races to count as their club’s portion of the USAC Mopar .25 National Award Series.


 


In the senior classes, five cars will constitute a full field, while in the junior classes a full field must have at least four cars.


 


Eligibility for year-end awards, which will be distributed to the “top-five” in each National Award Series class, mandates that a driver must participate in all six of his club’s designated races.


 


Club’s currently competing under the USAC Mopar .25 banner include the Buckeye Quarter Midget Club, the Indy .25 Midget Racing Club, the Kokomo Quarter Midget Club, the Mac-O-Chee Quarter Midget Club, the Metro Atlanta Quarter Midget Racing Association, the Miami Valley Quarter Midget Club, the Music City Quarter Midget Racing Association, the North Carolina Quarter Midget Association, the Northwest Ohio Quarter Midget Racing Association, the Orange Show Quarter Midget Racing Association and the Tampa Bay Quarter Midget Racing Association.


 


This "National Award Series" is separate and will serve to augment the existing USAC "Generation Next Tour."
