BOB JENKINS TO EMCEE USAC MOPAR .25 "SHOWCASE"
Internationally renowned broadcaster Bob Jenkins will serve as the emcee for the Saturday, December 10 USAC Mopar .25 Midget “Showcase of Champions,” scheduled at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis, Ind. in conjunction with the International Motorsports Industry Show (IMIS). The affair begins at 4:30 pm in rooms 237-239 and does not include food service.
The formal event will closely follow USAC’s “Night of Champions” National Awards Dinner, scheduled Friday night, December 9, at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis. All the USAC National Mopar .25 Midget Champions will also be honored at the Friday function.
Jenkins, a veteran of over 30 years in auto racing broadcasting, has received numerous citations for his work in the sport, including membership in Halls of Fame and he also served as host for ESPN’s “Speedweek” program from 1983-1997. As a member of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network, Bob served as the “Radio Voice of the 500” from 1990-1999.
In 1993 Jenkins was honored by USAC as the recipient of the Special Individual Recognition Award. In 2001 he received USAC’s highest honor, the Roger McCluskey Award of Excellence.

The top-five drivers from the Generation Next standings and the top-three drivers from sub-series (Mid-Atlantic, Dirt Triple Crown and Southwest) will be honored, as well as winners of the National Award Series.
