MASSINGILL SCORES WITH MIDWEST THUNDER AT CIRCLE CITY
Indianapolis, Indiana (May 24, 2024)………Two Mays after his first Circle City Raceway victory, Bryce Massingill returned to victory lane at the 1/4-mile dirt oval during Thursday night’s USAC Midwest Thunder SpeeD2 Midget non-points special event.
Massingill (Troy, Ohio) started fifth, but chased down racelong leader Alex Watson (Columbus, Ohio) with six laps remaining to capture the 25-lap main event victory.
Watson, who started on the pole position, finished as the runner-up after leading the initial 19 laps. Michael Magic (Winder, Ga.) collected a third-place result while VMS Fast Qualifier Matt Lux (Manilla, Ind.) came home fourth.
Ryan Fleming (Troy, Ohio) rounded out the top-five after starting 13th. His advancement of eight positions earned him Performance Powder Coating Hard Charger honors for the evening.
