Speedway, Indiana (October 2, 2023)………Justin Grant remains in the driver's seat of the Mike Curb USAC National Drivers Championship standings entering the month of October as he aims to become the third driver ever to win the award for a third consecutive season.

Grant (Ione, Calif.) has accumulated a total of 3,394 combined points throughout the USAC Silver Crown, AMSOIL National Sprint Car and NOS Energy Drink National Midget season.  That leads his closest competition, Logan Seavey (Sutter, Calif.), by 224 markers.  Grant and Seavey are the only two drivers to win USAC National events across all three series in 2023.

Emerson Axsom (Franklin, Ind.) is the only other driver besides Grant and Seavey to amass more than 3,000 points thus far and runs third in the standings with 3,006 with Daison Pursley (Locust Grove, Okla.) fourth at 2,748 and 2016 Mike Curb USAC National Drivers Champion Brady Bacon (Broken Arrow, Okla.) fifth at 2,512.

Only J.J. Yeley (2001-02-03) and Bryan Clauson (2010-11-12) have previously won the award in three consecutive seasons.  Grant, who won the title in 2017-21-22, is also gunning to become just the second four-time winner, joining Tracy Hines (2000-08-13-14).

The Mike Curb USAC National Drivers Championship celebrates its 25th consecutive year in 2023.  The honor encompasses attaining points throughout each and every point paying USAC Silver Crown, AMSOIL National Sprint Car and NOS Energy Drink National Midget series event during the 2023 campaign.

Previous champions include Dave Darland (1999 & 2015), Tracy Hines (2000-08-13-14), J.J.
