WIGAL DOTS THE I’S AT CIRCLE CITY

Indianapolis, Indiana (September 15, 2023)………Zach Wigal raced to his series-leading sixth USAC Midwest Thunder SpeeD2 Midget victory of the season on Friday night at Indianapolis, Indiana’s Circle City Raceway.

Wigal (Belpre, Ohio) ran second to racelong leader Matt Lux (Manilla, Ind.) for the first 13 laps of the 20-lap event.  On lap 14, Wigal made the winning move as he slipped by Lux for the lead and controlled the pace for the remaining seven laps to take the checkered flag.

Behind Wigal, Lux finished second with Cale Coons (Greencastle, Ind.) third, series point leader Bryce Massingill (Troy, Ohio) fourth and Germany’s Marcel Berndt rounding out the top-five.

VMS Motorsports Fast Qualifier Abby Hohlbein (Cloverdale, Ind.) finished sixth after starting 15th to earn Performance Powder Coating Hard Charger honors.
