WILLIAMS GROVE USAC iRACING ENTRY LIST RELEASED

Speedway, Indiana………From one legendary racetrack to the next, the 2020 USAC AMSOIL iRacing Challenge presented by NOS Energy Drink motors on to “The Grove,” Williams Grove Speedway, for the penultimate round of the series as the mighty midgets make their return this Thursday night, April 16th, 9pm Eastern on FloRacing at https://bit.ly/3dzkF8Y.

Returning to the field after last week’s triumphs are Clauson-Marshall Racing's Aiden Purdue, who tamed Knoxville Raceway in a sprint car while Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports’ Daison Pursley persevered in a midget at Fairbury American Legion Speedway to bring home the biggest prize in USAC iRacing history.

It’s been wild, it’s been unpredictable, and a new face has emerged as the winner each time out.  Who’s got next at The Grove?  We’ll be watching as it all unfolds this Thursday night at the virtual Pennsylvania half-mile dirt oval, which first saw USAC racing in the club’s first year of 1956.

Eight USAC National Champions have signed on for Thursday’s race at “The Grove,” including four drivers who’ve reached victory lane at Williams Grove under USAC sanction.  Chris Windom has won twice, first in 2016 with the Silver Crown series and again in 2018 with the AMSOIL National Sprint Cars.  Brady Bacon was victorious in 2017 with the USAC/ARDC Midgets and, most recently, Silver Crown action in 2019.  Spencer Bayston, likewise, won in USAC/ARDC Midget competition in 2017 while Kevin Thomas Jr. notched a National Sprint score in 2017 as well.

Windom, Bacon and Bayston are among eight USAC National champions entered for Thursday’s iRace, along with Triple Crown champion J.J. Yeley, 2013 USAC National Midget champion and 2017 NASCAR Truck Series titlist Christopher Bell, 2018 USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car and 2019 USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget champion Tyler Courtney, plus 2016 USAC National champ Tanner Thorson and 2018 USAC National Midget king Logan Seavey.

Along with Thomas Jr., also competing on the half-mile virtual dirt track are USAC National feature winners Justin Grant, Thomas Meseraull, Zeb Wise, Jason McDougal, Tanner Carrick, Shane Hmiel, Cannon Mcintosh, Brody Roa, Brady Short, Tyler Thomas, Billy Wease, and Matt Westfall.

NASCAR Xfinity Series frontrunner and winner Chase Briscoe is entered as well as World of Outlaws Sprint Car Rookie of the Year Carson Macedo, plus 2019 USAC Western States Midget champion Robert Dalby, five-time USAC Western States Midget champion Ronnie Gardner, multi-time USAC Western Sprint champ Ryan Bernal, 2017 USAC West Coast Sprint champ Jake Swanson, plus this year’s top Rookie with the NOS Energy Drink National Midget series thus far, Buddy Kofoid.

The 2020 AMSOIL USAC iRacing Challenge presented by NOS Energy Drink features the stars of USAC Racing competing against one another in the motorsports simulation event with weekly racing action each Thursday night throughout the month of April live on FloRacing at 9pm Eastern.

The USAC iRacing Challenge consists of a total of five races and four events, including three USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship and two USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship events:

April 2: Kokomo Speedway (Midgets) – WINNER: Brennan Rogers

April 9: Knoxville Raceway (Sprints) – WINNER: Aiden Purdue

April 16: Williams Grove Speedway (Midgets)

April 23: Eldora Speedway (Sprints & Midgets)

The event purse for each event will feature a $500 winner’s share, $300 for second and $100 for third thanks to series sponsors to sponsors TOPP Motorsports, Hayward Motorsports, Petry Motorsports and Baldwin Brothers Racing.
