Lawrenceburg, Indiana………Jack Hewitt of Troy, Ohio led all 30 laps to win Thursday night’s Pennzoil “Indiana Sprint Week” feature at the Lawrenceburg (Ind.) Speedway driving the Print Express/Valvoline/McCreary Special.

Hewitt started alongside pole starter Justin Marvel and took the lead on the opening lap and never looked back. “This was a young man’s track tonight,” he said in victory lane. “I was in the rocking chair and was just racing the track. Anytime you beat J.J. Yeley and Dave Darland it’s well deserved.”

Yeley finished second and Darland third, followed by Tony Elliott and Terry Pletch.

Hewitt’s victory boosted him into the Pennzoil “Indiana Sprint Week” point lead, while Darland extended his Stoops Freightliner Sprint Car Series lead going into Friday night’s Pennzoil “Indiana Sprint Week” race at Bloomington Speedway - the “Larry Rice Classic.”
