USAC MAKES ENHANCEMENTS TO BATTLE AT THE BRICKYARD

Growth Of Series Brings New Resources In 2015

Officials of the United States Auto Club announced today significant enhancements being planned for next years “Battle at the Brickyard”, one of the National Championship tour’s key stops with the race being held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Additionally, USAC announced structural leadership additions to enhance the overall program within the USAC umbrella of racing operations and address the continued growth of the program since its 2009 launch. Effective immediately, USAC CFO/COO Chandi McIntosh will oversee the series operations and be directly involved with Series Director Kyle McCain in the overall direction and planning process for quarter midget racing under the USAC banner.

“We listened” stated USAC CFO Chandi McIntosh when asked about the Honda .25 Midgets Battle at the Brickyard. “Next year we will condense the events schedule to limit the time off required to attend one of our most important races. And to address cost issues, we are cutting entry fees by nearly fifty percent, well below that of competitive large scale races”.  Also planned is a large kick-off party on the downtown streets of Speedway, IN in conjunction with USAC’s wildly popular Indiana Sprint Week. “We plan to have quite a party in Speedway to kick off two of the jewels in USAC’s annual schedule, with the Battle at the Brickyard and Indiana Sprint Week slated to both start racing activities on Friday July 10th next year” stated Ms. McIntosh.

“As a mom and parent of a five and eight year old, Chandi is the natural choice for our added focus for quarter midget racing in 2015”.  “Chandi brought a wealth of strategic business direction in the past two years and has been instrumental in providing business oversight for the overall operations at USAC. I am pleased with her passion in the youth program and excited to see the added enhancements she will bring in 2015” stated USAC CEO Kevin Miller.
