3 TO GO IN DMA POINTS SHOWDOWN

It’s down to three in the battle for the 2013 USAC DMA Midget championship! This Saturday’s race at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vt. will be followed by races September 21 and 28 as the top five drivers battle for precious points, separated by just 41 markers with 68 available again Saturday.

Defending series champion Kevin Chaffee, runner-up Joe Krawiec and Scott Viets are remarkably without a victory so far this year! Chaffee and Viets each have four podium finishes and Krawiec, the 2011 champion, has three.

Adam Pierson, whose four feature wins in the last six races have thrust him into title contention, trails the leader by just 41 points, while Josh Sunn, who won a June race at Bear Ridge Speedway, is similarly 41 points in arrears.

Chaffee’s point margin is 19, while Viets is 33 back going into this Saturday’s event.
