DRAWS MORE THAN 240 ENTRIES TO SALISBURY
A full week of racing activity highlights the 7th Annual “Carolina Fall Nationals” presented by the North Carolina Quarter Midget Association November 20-27 at the NCQMA Speedway in Salisbury, N.C. The extremely popular event has already drawn more than 240 pre-entries, incorporating 134 different drivers!
Parking and safety inspections begin Sunday, November 20, with open practice slated Monday and controlled practice Tuesday and Wednesday. A Thanksgiving Dinner will occur for participants on Thursday, November 24.
Friday brings the drivers and handlers meeting and single-car qualifying, during which NCQMA Carolina Fall Nationals Single-Car Qualifying Track Records will be established, plus Lower Main events. Racing continues to conclusion on Saturday, November 26, followed by trophy presentations. Sunday is reserved as a rain date should inclement weather interrupt the proceedings.
Divisions involved in the “Carolina Fall Nationals” (with 2010 winners in parentheses) are: Junior Stock (Chandler Smith), Red Rookie (Connor Yonchuck), Mod (Ryan Krachun), Blue Rookie (Logan Good), B (none), Junior Honda (Zeb Wise), Senior Honda (John Ruggiero Jr.), Heavy Honda (Chase Lankford), Junior Animal (Ryan Israel), Senior Animal (Louis Keraitis), Unrestricted Animal (none), Light 160 (John Ruggiero Jr.), Heavy 160 (Katlyn Stanley), Light AA (Chase Dean), Heavy AA (none), Light World Formula (Garrett Jones), Heavy World Formula (Mark Miller) and Junior Half (Jack Ely).
Four of the defending “Carolina Fall Nationals” champions are slated to be honored at USAC Banquets December 9-10 in Indianapolis as USAC Mopar .25 National Champions. They are Garrett Jones (Light World Formula and Senior Animal), Ryan Krachun (B), Mark Miller (Heavy 160) and Katlyn Stanley (Heavy World Formula).
