USAC WESTERN STATES MIDGET OPENER AT KERN CO. HALTED BY RAIN
Bakersfield, California (May 4, 2024)………Mother Nature abruptly halted Saturday’s USAC Western States Midget opener at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway Dirt Track in Bakersfield, Calif.
After the heat races were completed and the feature field was set, the rain fell and washed away the remainder of the evening’s events.
Reigning series champion Brody Fuson (Bakersfield, Calif.) was the fastest qualifier at a time of 14.280 seconds. Ryan Bernal (Hollister, Calif.), Cade Lewis (Bakersfield, Calif.) and Jake Andreotti (Castro Valley, Calif.) earned heat race victories.
