STRUNK WINS MMSA FINALE AT TRI-STATE

Haubstadt, Indiana (October 19, 2019)………Brad Strunk piloted his lightning sprint to yet another win in 2019 to put the wraps on another successful season.

Twenty-two entries made their appearance at the famed Tri-State Speedway last Saturday night. Strunk had a perfect night, winning his prelim in dominant fashion, and then went on to pace the field to the checkers for the final time this season.

Brandon Smith and Anthony Haas led the field to the green. Haas got the jump on the field and led the first section of the main event followed closely by Rod Henning and Brad Strunk. The trio caught lapped traffic early, helping Rod Henning toward the top spot followed by Strunk. Strunk eventually got the better of lap traffic to overhaul Henning for the lead and cruise to the checkered.

The top ten were Strunk, Henning, Trammell, Haas, Jeff Schindler, Jaylon Mills, Brandon Coffey, Brandon Smith, Cindy Chambers and Ethan Rutherford.

The feature event went from green to checkers in a matter of less than 5 minutes.

Heat race winners were, Strunk, Trammell and Haas.

MMSA also crowned their 2019 Champion on Saturday evening. Cody Trammell had a great year to win back-to-back series titles. Strunk finished second, with Brandon Coffey, Anthony Haas and Keith Langley rounding out the top five.

The MMSA banquet will be Saturday night November 9th at French Lick Indoor Karting.
