BEST BALL “30” BY McCLUSKEY, GRAB, BINKER & NORTONWINS 16TH ANNUAL WOMEN’S CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENTA 30 posted by the team of Rita McCluskey, Rachel Grab, Katie Binker and Cindy Norton in the “best ball” format earned victory in USAC’s 16th annual Women’s Charity Golf Tournament Tuesday at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Indianapolis, Ind.The winning team claimed championship gold medals, plus $50 cash awards from the Olive Garden Restaurant and Eagle Creek Golf Course, plus Indianapolis 500 programs and victory floral displays from Jockish Florists.The second place team of Tracy Brown, Katie Adkins, Carla Bishop and Maggie Hobbs earned silver medals, gift certificates from Pit Stop Barbeque in Brownsburg, Ind., $25 each from Eagle Creek and picture frames for their team photos. They posted a score of 31 in the nine-hole tournament.Jean Miner, Jordan Ahmay, Lori Santos and Wanda Rawnsley scored a 33 to earn third place and the bronze medals. They also won bottle of wine and a USAC 50-year history book.Katie Binker was presented a Macy’s bracelet by the Oxley Family for her “longest drive,” sponsored by the Tony Stewart Foundation. Jordan Ahmay won a necklace from Nelson Jewelers of Brownsburg, Ind. and a floral bouquet from Jockish Florists for being the “closest to the pin on her second shot.” This award was sponsored by the Billy Garrett Foundation.Patty Parsons Vigants and Joanie Parsons Voyles served as the year’s honorary chairpersons.Other special awards were won by John Taylor of Hermando, Miss. (an Indy Experience ride with Al Unser, Jr.), Ed Lewis of Brownsburg, Ind. (an attractive ticket package), Jean Cassaday of Indianapolis, Ind. (a VIP package at Texas Motor Speedway) and Jeff Gaul of Chester, N.Y. (a VIP package for the INDYCAR 225 weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.This year’s tournament again honored the generosity of Mary Fendrich Hulman and benefitted the USAC Benevolent Foundation.
