SMACKDOWN PRIZES RUN THE GAMUT FOR DRIVERS AUG. 23-25
Kokomo, Indiana………“Sprint Car Smackdown VII” brings not only prestige and some of the most intense USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car racing you’ll see all year long. There’s also the variety of prizes and rewards that each competitor can collect along the way throughout the four-straight nights of racing Aug. 23-25 at Kokomo Speedway, with #GYATK Night opening the festivities on Wednesday, Aug. 22.
Allstar Performance is providing free pit passes to all to the drivers who support #GYATK Night by covering the pit pass cost of every driver competing that evening.
ProSource is on board with $200 going to the fast qualifier on both Thursday and Friday, Aug. 23-24. The B & W Auto Mart Passing Master Award will reward the driver who passes the most total cars throughout the weekend’s three feature events on Thurs., Fri. and Sat. with $300. Diversified Machine, Inc. will supply four $100 certificates for the “Hard Work” award.
For King of the Hill Qualifying on Saturday night, Aug. 25, the winner will receive $500 from Capital Renegade as well as brand new TRAXXAS remote control truck.
The vast number of awards reach a variety of categories from the highs to lows. The “Smackdown” Rookie of the Year receives a $300 certificate from Arizona Sports Shirts and $250 from Kick-It. Hoosier Racing Tire is the sponsor of the Perseverance Award, going to the last transfer of each night’s semi-feature. The Weld Racing “Cool Move” recipient gets a cool $250 certificate. Elliott’s Hard Charger will pocket $100 each on Thursday and Friday, then collect $250 on Saturday. A drum of VP Racing Fuel will go to the driver who records the fastest heat race lap and feature lap on Saturday.
On the flip side, High Side Design will supply new tail tank numbers to the driver who is the first flipper of “Smackdown.” The first non-transfer in the semi-feature each night will get $150 off a 2019 High Side Designs order. Stida.com is turning the luck around for the “Hard Luck” Award honoree of the weekend by providing that driver with a 2019 membership.
Additional sponsors providing prizes for “Smackdown” are AMSOIL, Wilwood Brake Systems, Simpson Race Products, Indy Race Parts, DRC Chassis, Rod End Supply, Benic Enterprises and Hinchman Indy.
