KYLE McCAIN, FORMER USAC .25 MIDGET DIRECTOR, PASSES AWAY

Kyle McCain, a past executive director of USAC’s .25 Midget division, tragically passed away after a boating accident on Lake Cumberland in Kentucky on May 20, 2017.  He was 30 years old.

McCain’s six-year tenure at USAC began as an assistant developmental director in 2009.  Three years later, in 2012, McCain rose through the ranks to become USAC’s .25 Midget Director from 2012-2015 where he worked passionately to help young drivers pursue their auto racing dreams.

McCain, a native of Lizton, Indiana, was a graduate of Tri-West High School and Indiana State University.  He was known for his quick wit, one-liners and even bestowing the nickname “Yung Money” on rising racing star Kyle Larson when the driver first entered the USAC ranks.  More than that, Kyle was a friendly, caring man and a friend to all.

Kyle’s services will take place at Matthews Funeral Home, located at 690 E. 56th Street in Brownsburg, Indiana.  Visitation is on Sunday, June 4, from 2-5pm.  Kyle’s funeral will be held on Monday, June 5 at 11am.
