“DOUG FORT MEMORIAL” SATURDAY AT SANTA MARIA

Saturday’s “Doug Fort Memorial” at Santa Maria (Calif.) Speedway features the Honda USAC Western Midgets along with the AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprints and other racing on the spectacular one-third mile dirt oval.

Trey Marcham of Oklahoma City, Okla. tops the standings in the Honda USAC Western Dirt Midgets, 29 points ahead of defending series champ Ronnie Gardner. Marcham is third behind Jarid Blondel and Alex Schutte in the overall Western Midget points.

Jake Swanson, sixth in the current dirt points, could be the one to watch Saturday, having won last year’s Santa Maria Midget outing.
