LEADERS CONTINUE 600 SPRINT SERIES SATURDAY;
SCHILLING, SAUNDERS STILL #1 AT PLYMOUTH
Billy Cribbs and Garrett Saunders continue their drive toward a possible 2013 USAC 600 Sprint Championship this Saturday when the open and restricted classes compete again at the Plymouth (Ind.) Speedway.
Cribbs has a 59-point lead over Dawson Stealy in the open class, while Saunders is 112 points ahead of Nicholas Schaefer in the restricted class.
Randy Shilling and Garrett Saunders emerged with feature victories at Plymouth Saturday. Trailing Shilling in the 20-lap Open feature were Cole Ketchum, Craig Ronk, J.J. Haley and Brad Nichols. Nichols led the first eight laps, Ketchum led one and Shilling led the rest.
In the Restricted class, Saunders passed Nick Katrakis on lap 11 and led the last five laps to beat Katrakis, Nicholas Schaefer, Devan Myers and Matt Frisbie.
