THUNDERBOWL HOSTS USAC/CRA SPRINTS SATURDAY

Teammates Damion Gardner and Nic Faas once again face off for the 2013 AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car point lead this Saturday when the series returns to Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif.

Gardner has a 12-point lead over Faas after seven series races in which they both finished in the top-four spots in all seven! Gardner has won the last three races, while Faas has one win and three seconds so far this year.

The last USAC/CRA race held at Tulare in 2010 saw Faas and Gardner finish 19th and 23rd respectively. That race was won by Bud Kaeding, who has three “top-five” finishes at the track in West Coast Sprint action this year.

Gardner stands at 44 total career wins in the USAC/CRA series, compared to Cory Kruseman’s 34 and Mike Spencer’s 33. Spencer, the defending five-time AMSOIL USAC/CRA champion, stands third in the latest 2013 points.
