STANLEY, SMITH & RANKINE STAR IN BRASELTON .25s

Braselton, Ga........Katlyn Stanley of Concord, N.C., Chandler Smith of Fitzgerald, Ga. and Ross Rankine of Willard, Ohio earned multiple victories in Round 2 of the 2010 USAC Mopar .25 Midget "Generation Next Championship" held this past weekend at the home of the Metro Atlanta Quarter Midget Racing Association in Braselton, Ga.


 


Stanley, whose uncle Robbie Stanley won three USAC Sprint Car championships in the 1990s, claimed victories in the Heavy AA and Heavy 160 classes, while Smith and Rankine each won three features. Smith grabbed the Junior Honda, Junior Animal and Junior Stock classes, while Rankine's wins came in Light World Formula, Senior Animal and Light 160.


 


Other feature winners in the Georgia event were Nick Drake of Mooresville, N.C. (son of USAC Champ Jay Drake) in Heavy World Formula, Frankie Nervo of Stow, Ohio in Light AA, Mallory Tullis of Dacula, Ga., Nolan Allison of Greensboro, NC in Mod and Aiden O'Donnell of Jefferson, Ga. in Junior Rookie, Danny Ruggiero of Lincolnton, N.C. in Senior Honda and Carah Yent of Tampa, Fla. in Heavy Honda.


 


A total of 169 cars competed in the weekend action.
