TELLSTROM TAKES RADICAL/EASTERN NIGHT ONE AT MERIDIAN

Meridian, Idaho (September 23, 2022)………Idaho’s own Kyle Tellstrom protected the home asphalt on Friday night when the Boise native took over the lead on lap three and raced to victory in the USAC Radical and USAC Eastern SpeeD2 Midget co-sanctioned event at Meridian Speedway.

Driving the Mike Creevan-owned machine, Tellstrom led the final 28 laps of the opening night of the Chaz Groat Memorial for his second career USAC Radical victory after winning the series’ inaugural race in July of 2020.

In the process, Tellstrom took over the Radical series point lead.

A.J. Luttmer (Salt Lake City, Utah) led the opening two laps of the feature and ultimately finished third.  Ashlyn Powell (Salt Lake City, Utah) took second while Devin Westover (Saratoga Springs, Utah) scored fourth and Anthony Quintana (Riverton, Utah) rounded out the top-five.

Fast qualifier Casey Tillman (Kuna, Idaho) originally finished second, but was disqualified after his car was found to be too wide in post-race technical inspection.
