PINKERTON SCORCHES AT CIRCLE CITY
Indianapolis, Indiana (September 16, 2022)………Wes Pinkerton controlled from start to finish to score his first career USAC Midwest Thunder SpeeD2 Midget feature event Friday night at Circle City Raceway in Indianapolis, Ind.
Pinkerton (Reynolds, Ind.) started from the pole and held serve all throughout the entire 20-lap distance, fending off the challenges from Zach Wigal (Belpre, Ohio).
Wigal wound up second in the final running order behind race winner Pinkerton while Bryce Massingill (Troy, Ohio) notched a third and Kayla Roell (Dillsboro, Ind.) tallied a fourth.
Roell was the night’s PPC Performance Powder Coating Hard Charger, finishing 4th after starting 10th.
Point leader Stratton Briggs (Anna, Ohio) rounded out the top-five to earn his 16th consecutive top-five result in 16 starts.
Three incidents took place during the night. Jakeb Boxell flipped over the turn one wall during the second heat. Tommy Kouns flipped hard on lap four of the feature. Aaron Sanders flipped on the lap 10 feature restart. All drivers were able to walk away.
