USAC IMRA SPEED2 MIDGETS SET FOR 24/7 SCHEDULE IN 2022

Speedway, Indiana (January 26, 2022)………The USAC Illinois Midget Racing Association SpeeD2 Midget series is going 24/7 during the upcoming 2022 season with 24 dates at seven different dirt track venues across the states of Iowa and Illinois.

The series leads off with two consecutive evenings at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa on April 22-23, then make a return trip to the track late in the year for the penultimate round on September 23.

The most prevalent soil on the slate is that of Spoon River Speedway in Spoon River, Illinois, which hosts the series on 10 different occasions at least once a month between April and September.  The first of the 10 arrives on April 30 with subsequent dates scheduled for May 14, May 29, June 11, June 25, July 9, August 6, August 20, September 10 and September 17.

Adams County Speedway brings the series to the Quincy, Illinois oval five times on May 8, June 5, July 3, August 14 and September 4.

Four more locales are set for one IMRA event apiece on July 20 at East Moline (Ill.) Speedway, on July 24 at Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway, on July 29 at the Champaign County Fairgrounds in Urbana, Ill. and the season finale on September 24 at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa.

Two late-May events will take place at yet-to-be-determined venues on May 21 and May 28.

Mark McMahill of Peoria, Ill. enters the 2022 season as the reigning IMRA champion.
